MUHNAC-ULisboa & Jardim do Príncipe Real - Lisbon

The application deadline for the European Researchers' Night 2019 was extended until Monday, July 15th.

The European Researchers’ Night 2019 (NEI 2019) will take place on 27th September, from 6 p.m. to midnight, at the National Museum of Natural History and Science (MUHNAC-ULisboa) and Jardim do Príncipe Real.

“SciCity – Science in the City” is the topic of this year’s edition. The theme seeks to respond to the main concerns of urban communities related to the global changes planned for the coming decades, highlighting the relevance of science to ensure the quality of life in cities of the future and the preservation of cultural heritage as an essential factor for sustainability.

Researchers and institutions must submit a registration form ( the deadline was extended until 15th July).

The European Researchers’ Night is an initiative funded by the European Commission, through Marie Curie Actions, aiming to celebrate Science and reduce the gap between researchers and citizens. The European Researchers’ Night translates into a series of activities happening throughout the year culminating in a night of celebration of Science, taking place in several European cities.

The project consortium is coordinated by Universidade de Lisboa ( National Museum of Natural History and Science -MUHNAC). The activities will also take place in Braga, Coimbra, Évora and Monsaraz.

As in previous editions, at least ten Técnico research units will participate in the project.
