«FST Lisboa is the Formula Student team from Instituto Superior Técnico, whose vision focuses on the development of high-performance FST prototypes. In the 2021/22 season, the team achieved its best results ever, winning third place in the prestigious FSG competition (in Germany) and first place in the FSS competition (in Spain), both in the autonomous category, with the FST11 prototype.
In the 2022/23 academic year, the team designed, manufactured and tested its new prototype, the FST12, with autonomous and non-autonomous driving systems. It was designed to compete in the EV (Electric Vehicle) and DV (Driverless Vehicle) categories. This summer, the FST12 will compete in the FSPT (in Portugal), FSS and FSG competitions.
The FST12 Rollout is the biggest FST Lisbon event, in which this prototype will be publicly presented. The event will be divided into two parts: the Ceremony – which will be attended by the President of Técnico, professor Rogério Colaço, and a member of the Board of Directors of Novabase/Celfocus – and the Show-off – where the audience will have the opportunity to see a small demonstration of what this vehicle can do. An exhibition with all the prototypes developed by the team since its creation, in 2001, will also take place during the day in the main building’s atrium.
The event is aimed at the entire Técnico community, families, friends and enthusiasts, who are interested in knowing more about what the FST Lisboa projects.
