Marking the start of a new academic year, the Solemn Session is an important milestone in the academic life of Universidade de Lisboa (ULisboa), bringing together its entire community.

This ceremony is part of the University’s “Bem-vindo à ULisboa” programme for new students, which takes place on the same day at Alameda da Universidade, featuring the distribution of welcome kits to new students and the Sunset Party.

Attendance is free, subject to room capacity.
