This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Student Day (24^th March 1962).

“Student Springs. From the 1962 crisis to the 25^th of April” is the topic of the first initiative of the celebrations of 50^th anniversary of the Revolution of 25 April 1974.

24th March – 10 a.m.

The colloquium “Student Springs. From the 1962 crisis to the 25^th of April” will take place on 24^th March, from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m., and will be attended by H.E. the President of the Portuguese Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, the President of the Portuguese Parliament, Eduardo Ferro Rodrigues, the Rector of Universidade de Lisboa, Luís Ferreira and the Executive Commissioner of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the 25th of April, Pedro Adão e Silva, among many other important personalities of Portuguese democracy.

The exhibition “Student Springs. From the 1962 crisis to the 25^th of April” will be inaugurated at the Museum of National History and Science.

This exhibition is co-organised by Universidade de Lisboa, and will be open to the public from 25th March to 28th August 2022. The exhibition will then be presented in Coimbra.
