«The Marine, Environment and Technology Center (MARETEC) at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, is pleased to announce the seminar “Timescales and Investment Dynamics in the Economy: Modelling Inertia and the Risks of Climate Inaction”, presented by Daniel Chester (University of Leeds, UK), Research Fellow in Energy and Macroeconomics. Key questions explored in his research include:
- What is the relationship between energy efficiency and energy rebound?
- How much primary energy will we need in the future to meet our energy service demands?
- To what extent can we decouple primary energy use from GDP?
In this seminar, he will address some of his research on these questions.»
