Date: 26 March
Time: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Venue: Técnico – Alameda Campus
«On 26 March, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Sustainability Unit at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, and URBEM, invites the entire community to participate in a hands-on workshop in the mini forest at Alameda Campus.
This initiative is an opportunity for everyone who wishes to learn more about urban regeneration and actively participate in the maintenance of a unique green space on campus.
The session will focus on two fundamental activities for the sustainable plantation process:
- Soil Preservation Techniques: Demonstration and application of methods to ensure the land’s vitality and nutrition.
- 1st Scientific Plantation Monitoring: Starting the process of tracking the growth and health of the plants. This assessment will take place every six months, allowing for the collection of data on the evolution of local biodiversity. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about environmental conservation methods and contribute to a more biodiverse campus in the Técnico mini forest.»
