The Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, has filled all available spots in 19 out of the 20 degree programmes, following the release of the results from the 2nd National Call for Access to Public Higher Education (CNAES). Of the 35 spots available in the Undergraduate Programme in Telecommunications and Informatics Engineering (LETI), only five remain. These will be open for filling during the third call, from 10 to 12 October 2026 (along with any other spots that may become available in other programmes due to students not finalising their enrolment).
In the second call of CNAES, Técnico made 91 spots available, with an additional 38 spots added through reallocation.
Students admitted in the second call will be welcomed on 2 October, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the atrium of the Main Building, at Alameda campus. The welcome programme includes the distribution of a welcome kit, the assignment of a mentor, and a campus tour to help new students settle in and give the first glimpse of their new school.
Patron Scholarships: Applications are open until 5 October
Students admitted in the second call may also apply for Técnico’s Patron Scholarships, for which the deadline has been extended to 5 October. Funded by corporate and private patrons, these scholarships may take the form of monetary grants, training, or housing and aim to mitigate the impact of socioeconomic challenges on students’ academic journeys. In the 2025/2026 academic year, Técnico awarded 172 scholarships, totaling nearly 290,000 euros. Applications must be submitted through the Connect platform.
