CA2ECTécnico Awards: Caixa Geral de Depósitos recognises projects developed by Técnico Students’ Organisations for the 10th time

Caixa Geral de Depósitos awarded 19 projects developed by 18 students’ organisations under the CA2ECTécnico programme.

The 10th edition of the CA2ECTécnico Awards took place on 3 December, at Técnico Innovation Center. These awards, supported by Caixa Geral de Depósitos, aim to Support Extracurricular Activities developed by Técnico Students’ Organisations (CA2ECT).

19 projects were awarded a total of 20,000 euros by the company that is a member of the Técnico Partner Network – a long-standing partner of Técnico, so long that ‘it’s already a friend,’ as stated by Rogério Colaço, president of Instituto Superior Técnico, who expressed gratitude to the company and emphasized the merit and effort of all the awarded projects.

Isabel Dias, Vice-president of Técnico for Financial Management, emphasised that ‘for more than a decade, Caixa Geral de Depósitos has supported a series of activities developed by Técnico students’. ‘These activities are of great importance, for the students’ organisations and the connection to the entire pedagogical and curricular area. It’s been very positive to see the evolution in the number of organisations and activities. It shows the importance of our partnership’, she added.

Filipe Teixeira, Marketing Director at Caixa Geral de Depósitos, also emphasised the importance of the partnership with Técnico and the recognition of the work of the students’ organisations: ‘It is with great satisfaction and joy that we are here to celebrate the 10th edition of the competition. We believe that extracurricular activities are essential for students, because they complement both the curricular component and develop their more creative side. Congratulations to everyone who participated. We can see the dedication, commitment and, above all, the passion they put into these projects.’

António Jarmela, president of the Students’ Union at Instituto Superior Técnico (AEIST), thanked Técnico and Caixa Geral de Depósitos for the initiative. ‘The best thing about Técnico is undoubtedly its vibrant community’, he said.
