Técnico alumna is among the most influential women in Europe’s startup and venture capital space

Cristina Fonseca is listed as one of the 50 most influential women in European startups, according to the EU-Startups publication.

The list of the 50 most influential women in European startups includes, for the first time, a Portuguese woman: Cristina Fonseca, Técnico alumna, co-founder of Talkdesk and partner of Indico Capital Partners.

The EU-Startups list, an online publication created in 2010, was published last week. “We all understand that women are severely under-represented in the tech industry as a whole, in leadership positions, and when it comes to winning funding. Despite a relatively slow rate of change, there are a lot of humans out there kicking ass everyday”, as reported by the EU-Startups.

The list of the top 50 women who are “shaking things up in the startup sphere in Europe” takes into consideration the suggestions made by readers, which are then submitted to the editorial team.

“Cristina Fonseca co-founded Talkdesk, Portugal’s third unicorn, and with a mission to make Portugal more innovative, she served on the Global Agenda Council on Europe, and was recognised as a 30 under 30 in Enterprise Technology by Forbes”, as reported by the EU-Startups.
