Técnico Alumnus wins William C. Carter PhD Dissertation Award

Sebastiano Peluso, Técnico alumnus, won the prestigious “William C. Carter PhD Dissertation Award in Dependability” for his PhD dissertation titled “Efficient Protocols for Replicated Transactional Systems”.

Sebastiano Peluso, Técnico alumnus, won the prestigious “William C. Carter PhD Dissertation Award in Dependability” for his PhD dissertation titled “Efficient Protocols for Replicated Transactional Systems”.
The award was presented at the 46ª IEEE/IFIP International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks, held in Toulouse, France, and was delivered by the current Chairs of Award committee: Prof. Douglas M. Blough, Chair of the IEEE TC on Dependable Computing and Fault Tolerance and also professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology (USA), and Prof. Paulo Veríssimo, Chair of the IFIP Working Group 10.4 on Dependable Computing and Fault Tolerance and also professor at the University of Luxembourg, alumnus and former professor at Técnico.
