Técnico and ISEG team up “to create value in the area of advanced training”

This Wednesday the two schools of Universidade de Lisboa signed a collaboration protocol aiming at developing joint projects and learning experiences.

Instituto Superior Técnico and the Lisbon School of Economics and Management (ISEG) signed a collaboration protocol that opens doors to the development of new projects and joint learning experiences, combining management with technology and engineering.

The ceremony took place this Wednesday, 15th July, and was attended by the President of Técnico, professor Rogério Colaço, the Vice president of Técnico for Administrative Management, professor Helena Geirinhas Ramos, the Executive Director of Técnico+, Tiago Guerra, the President of ISEG, professor Clara Raposo and the President of ISEG Executive Education, professor Luís Cardoso.

According to the President of Técnico, this protocol provides “continuity to the long partnership and friendship that bind our schools together, and create value in the area of advanced training”. Professor Clara Raposo shares the same view and stresses “ISEG and Técnico are natural partners that complement each other perfectly”. “Training the most skilled professionals capable to innovate and respond to any challenge is our primary goal”, she adds.

As part of this partnership, short-term executive programmes will be launched combining engineering and technology (Técnico) with management and strategy (ISEG). The two schools are committed to provide training programmes increasingly adapted to the modern times and to the business needs.

“Data Science – An Immersive Overview” is the first course launched under this partnership.

In addition to the joint executive programmes, Técnico will collaborate as a Global Partner on ISEG MBA (Master of Business Administration), and participate in the Strategic Stream Digital Transformation & Technology Disruption. The Técnico alumni interested in doing this MBA will have a 20% discount.
