From 1 to 4 September, during Welcome Week 2026/2027, new 1st– and 2nd-cycle students entering Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, can look forward to various activities to help them settle into their new school.

As detailed on the First Steps at Técnico website, these new students will be provided with the date and time of their scheduled campus visit through the Connect platform and by email, and should arrive 10 minutes before their scheduled time. If necessary, they can change the time of their visit on the Connect platform.

Family members and guardians of new undergraduate students (National Call) are invited to attend a Welcome Session for Families on the day their students arrive, at 10 a.m., in the Main Building, at Alameda campus. After this session, family members will have the opportunity to join a guided tour of the campus.

During these days and the weekend of 5 and 6 September, various cultural and social activities will be organised for new students to explore the city of Lisbon and its culture, and meet their future classmates.

Students who will enter through the 3rd Call should visit the Student Support Office service desk, located at Alameda campus reception, to receive their welcome KIT and be assigned a mentor.

The shuttle service between Alameda and Oeiras campi will be operating during Welcome Week. Booking a seat is required.

Students arriving after Welcome Week should get in touch with the support service at their respective campus (Alameda or Oeiras) after completing their enrolment.

3rd cycle (doctoral) students will be welcomed later, during the PhD Open Days.
