U-Multirank gives maximum score to ULisboa in 12 indicators

Universidade de Lisboa obtained the highest scores (12 “Very Good” and 9 “Good”) in 21 indicators.

Universidade de Lisboa (ULisboa) obtained a “Very Good” classification in 12 indicators and a “Good” classification in another 9 indicators, in the 2021 edition of U-Multirank, funded by the European Commission.

U-Multirank is a unique, multidimensional and international ranking of higher education institutions. It compares university performance through 30 indicators, across teaching and learning, research, knowledge transfer, international orientation and regional engagement. The performance of a university is presented with individual scores – graded from ‘A’ (very good) to ‘E’ (weak).

In this most recent edition of the ranking, released this Tuesday September 21, we highlight the excellent performance obtained by ULisboa in the research area, with maximum score in the following indicators: Research publications (absolute numbers), Research publications (size-normalised), Post-doc positions, External research income and Professional publications. In the remaining research-related indicators, the university performance continues to be remarkable, with 4 B (Good).

ULisboa obtains several maximum scores in other indicators, such as: Teaching & Learning (Gender balance, Bachelor graduation rate), International Orientation (Foreign language master programmes, Student mobility and International joint publications), Knowledge Transfer (Co-publications with industrial partners) and Regional Engagement (Regional joint publications).

In its 8th annual publication, U-Multirank covered 1945 universities from 96 countries.
