This year, Universidade de Lisboa has consolidated its position in Taiwan ranking, and was once again considered the best Portuguese university – ranked 79th (Europe) and 195th (worldwide).
Técnico, as an engineering school at ULisboa, also consolidates its position. ULisboa’s engineering ranks 17th (Europe).
In the fields of engineering, it should be noted the results of Civil Engineering, which ranked 6th (Europe) and 28th (worldwide); Mechanical Engineering, which ranked 10th (Europe) and 40th (worldwide); and Mathematics, which ranked 15th (Europe) and 52th (worldwide).
The Taiwan ranking, carried out by the National Taiwan University, also known as NTU, or Performance Ranking of Scientific Papers for World Universities, aims to analyse scientific research performance at Institutions, using bibliometric methods and the following criteria: productivity, impact and research excellence. The main sources of information on which it is based are Essential Science Indicators (ESI), Web of Science (WoS) and Thomson-Reuters’ Journal Citation Reports (JCR).
