Student applications are open for the 2026/27 academic year for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree “Engineering for Environmental Sustainability and International Cooperation” (EESIC).
The EESIC aims to train Environmental Engineers capable of finding innovative and sustainable solutions to problems characterized by technical and non-technical complexity.
The Master’s degree will last four semesters (120 ECTS), with the first three semesters at the project partners (Instituto Superior Técnico, Portugal; Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain; University of Trento, Italy) and the fourth at one of the associated partners, selected from various continents. The master’s thesis will focus on applied research in the context of international collaboration in engineering projects.
In addition to English proficiency, candidates must:
- Hold a first-cycle undergraduate degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering (or closely related scientific fields) of at least 180 ECTS credits (or equivalent);
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in a class other than the one above, of at least 180 ECTS credits (or equivalent), provided that it includes a minimum number of credits in some areas, or obtain the bachelor’s degree within specific deadlines.
70 scholarships will also be funded.
