MOOC Técnico is launching a new online course on the topic: Photovoltaic solar energy.
This online course covers the technology of converting photovoltaic solar energy into electricity, with a focus on understanding the properties of sunlight and the operating principles of solar cells. Solar cell manufacturing, photovoltaic panel configurations and design methodology for photovoltaic systems that meet specific requirements will be explored, including grid-connected installations and stand-alone systems, with or without battery storage.
The “Photovoltaic Solar Energy” MOOC is aimed at undergraduate and master’s students, as well as professionals in the fields of engineering and renewable energies, among others. It is also aimed at the general public with an interest in the subject.
Access to materials:
- Access to the course is absolutely free and completely online;
- The contents are always open and each participant takes the course at their own pace;
- The course materials will remain available to all registered users after the end of this edition, so that they can return to the content at a later date;
- The oral presentation of the videos is in Portuguese, accompanied by slides in the same language, and the transcripts are accessible in English and Portuguese.
