Universidade de Lisboa (ULisboa) serves as a bridge between institutions, sectors and borders, promoting teaching, research and innovation. At the ULisboa 2026 Scientific Meeting, on the theme of “Scientific Cooperation in a Changing World”, Universidade de Lisboa offers a forum for reflection on how these dynamics are reshaping cooperation: with whom we collaborate, in what way and with what objectives.
The event explores partnerships between universities, the public sector, industry and other strategic actors, at national and international levels, incorporating discussion on the role of universities in R&I, the need for coherent internationalisation strategies and ULisboa’s positioning within the European Research Area.
In this context, ULisboa invites professors, researchers, technical and administrative staff, and students to submit proposals highlighting good practices and success stories in scientific cooperation, illustrating impactful local, national, or international partnerships, to be shared during the event.
The call for proposals is open until 18 May 2026 and may fall into two categories:
- Partnerships in Action — dedicated to international collaborative projects: inter-institutional or university-industry partnerships, internal interdisciplinary initiatives, and co-creation cases with the public sector;
- Research and Innovation by PhD Students — focused on projects with international co-supervision: cross-sectoral projects (industry/public sector) and innovation case studies and knowledge transfer.
The selected proposals will be showcased in a brief format during the event, promoting the sharing of experiences and discussion among participants, and will also be publicised throughout the conference.
Participation provides an opportunity to raise the profile of collaborative projects and practices, thereby helping to strengthen scientific cooperation within ULisboa and across the European Research Area.
