Enrolment for transversal skills courses at Técnico Doctoral School is open until 4 September 2026. These courses are available on the Fénix platform and can be selected by doctoral students, in consultation with their supervisors, in areas such as research ethics, project management, science communication, or entrepreneurship.

Enrolment takes place during the 3rd cycle registration process, provided that their respective processes have been completed and approved.

These transversal skills courses are part of the Técnico Doctoral School’s programmes. They are intended for all doctoral students, helping them develop additional skills relevant to their academic and professional paths.

The Técnico Doctoral School was presented on 4 November at the opening of the 10th edition of PhD Open Days. It brings together Técnico’s 31 doctoral programmes, including these courses. Additionally, it offers a Fast Track programme for entry into the 3rd cycle aimed at Técnico master’s students, promotes internships in companies or in an international environment (including cotutelle PhDs), and supports the PhD Student Hub, which brings together Técnico’s PhD community around common experiences and interests, among other initiatives.

The Doctoral School portal also lists various funding opportunities for doctoral students, including all research grants offered by the 23 research units affiliated with Técnico.
