Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, has opened applications for Técnico Ignite AI Builders 2026, a training programme supported by the Santander Foundation designed to help transform innovative ideas into concrete solutions through the practical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Following a learning-by-doing approach, the programme aims to support the creation and management of technology-based businesses by equipping participants with AI tools across several strategic areas.
Topics include process automation, data analysis, digital marketing, AI-assisted programming, internal and external communication, and digital product development.
The programme includes six specialised workshops, delivered in Portuguese, combining technical and strategic training with direct application to real market contexts.
The first edition of 2026 will run from 9 April to 14 May. Applications are open until 27 March.

The Técnico Ignite AI Builders programme is aimed at members of the Técnico community interested in entrepreneurship, startups, or technology-based innovation projects.
A total of 30 participants will be selected, with priority given to incubated startups, and participants in programs such as Lab2Market.
Applications are submitted online, per module, through the Open Academy platform.
The programme aims to support participants in transforming their ideas into solid and innovative MVPs, leveraging Artificial Intelligence to accelerate project development.
