Técnico professor awarded the Medal of Honor L’Oréal Portugal for Women in Science

Professor Patrícia Baptista will receive a €15,000 prize for her project "Assessing multi-modal urban mobility: energy, environmental and health perspectives"

This Tuesday, Patrícia Baptista, professor at Técnico and researcher at LAETA – Associated Laboratory for Energy, Transports and Aeronautics, which is part of IDMEC – Mechanical Engineering Institute, received a Medal of Honor L’Oréal Portugal for Women in Science, worth €15,000.

The award is sponsored by a partnership between L’Oréal Portugal, the National Commission of UNESCO and Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia. Professor Patrícia Baptista was selected for her project “Assessing multi-modal urban mobility: energy, environmental and health perspectives”.

Three other researchers, from Health Sciences and Environmental Sciences, were awarded this Medal of Honour: Ana Rita Costa (Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência – ICG), Maria Inês Almeida (Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde – i3s) and Maria Isabel Veiga (Life and Health Sciences Research Institute).
