Técnico brings higher education and innovation to the public’s attention at the Web Summit 2024

Técnico was the only higher education institution with an exhibition stand at the event. The school community interacted with thousands of visitors.

 

“Discoveries of Modern Physics” – Técnico’s new podcast about the past, present and (above all) future of physics

The episodes, which will be released every week on Mondays, compile lectures by Portuguese researchers on their perspectives of the future of physics.

Técnico researchers are part of the team that will create the Portuguese large language model AMALIA

The artificial intelligence system announced by the Prime Minister at the opening of the Web Summit should have its first version ready by the end of the first quarter of 2025.

Finnish ambassador highlights ‘impressive work’ during a visit to Técnico

Titta Maja-Luoto was welcomed by Zita Martins, the Vice-president of Técnico for International Affairs. During the visit, the Finnish ambassador had the opportunity to learn about research projects and to visit some students' organisations.

Tuna Universitária do Instituto Superior Técnico performed for the first time in Brazil

The group of students from Técnico, which is now over 30 years old, performed several times on South American stages.
