The public ceremony of the Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo Award Ceremony (8th Edition) will take place on 26 November, at 5 p.m., at Técnico Congress Centre, Alameda campus.
Técnico created this award in 2016 to promote gender equality and to recognise the crucial role of women in engineering areas. The award is also a way of honouring Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo’s outstanding contribution as an engineer, alumna and national leader with a decisive role and impact on Portuguese society.
The jury of the 8th Edition of the Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo Award was made up of Alexandre Bernardino, Beatriz Silva, Cristina Sernadas, Elsa Abranches, Isabel Marrucho, João Ramôa Correia, Pedro Brogueira, Raquel Aires de Barros, Rogério Colaço and Teresa Peña.
The Award has the high patronage of his excellency the President of the Portuguese Republic, Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
