A próxima Palestra American Corner@IST terá lugar no dia 28 de outubro de 2019, pelas 11h, na sala 02.1 do Centro de Congressos (no pavilhão de civil).

Nathan Leamer (Vice-Presidente para os Public Affairs na Targeted Victory, desde setembro último, Washington D.C., EUA) abordará o tema “Trends and Tradeoffs of the 5G Revolution”.

Abstract
5G technology holds immense promise for consumers yet many are not aware of its potential or the ways it will improve their livelihood. Nathan Leamer will discuss how policymakers and other proponents of this emerging technology can leverage 5G via real world applications of next-generation (5G) technology networks, such as telemedicine, autonomous vehicles and precision agriculture.

Anteriormente, o orador foi  Chairman’s Policy Advisor na ‘Federal Communications Commission (FCC)’, entidade governamental independente do setor das comunicações nos EUA, tendo sido fundamental no desenvolvimento e implementação do 5G FAST Plan (Facilitate America’s Superiority in 5G Technology).
