«In the spring equinox 2021, a biodiversity and permaculture garden called Hortus was created near the exit of Alameda Campus, on the west side. Hortus was designed to be a sharing space, open to the entire Técnico community, under the framework of the Técnico + Green project (Técnico Sustentável, IST-Environment), which aims to develop an integrated plan of initiatives at the campus, in order to make outdoor spaces welcoming, biodiverse and sustainable.
Two years later, on 20 March, the spring equinox 2023, the Hortus celebrates its 2nd anniversary with a picnic open to the entire community, followed by a sunflower sowing, a bee seed bomb workshop and an acoustic concert at 5 p.m.»
