Free shuttle service is available to the IST community between Alameda Campus and Taguspark Campus, from 7 a.m. to 8.10 p.m., with the following intermediate stops: Sete Rios, Oeiras and Cacém.
The usage of the Reservation System is compulsory in all schedules and routes for the whole IST community.
The shuttle management, monitoring and planning is the responsibility of the Taguspark Administrative and Financial Management Unit.
Project “A pedalar”
The project “A pedalar” was launched in September 2015, during the Mobility Week at Técnico. This is an innovative project that aims to increase the number of people cycling to and from Alameda campus. This initiative was supported by Caixa Geral de Depósitos, which provided IST community several bicycles and locks, free of charge.
Due to the success of this project, Técnico acquired ten bicycles available to members of IST community. All interested in requesting a bicycle should contact the main building reception.
For technical reasons, this project is temporarily suspended.
Técnico Lisboa Carpooling
Técnico Lisboa carpooling platform allows all members of IST community to share rides between the campuses (Alameda, Taguspark and CTN).
Carpooling is a simple and effective way of reducing the travel costs to and from Técnico, thus having a very positive impact on the environment and on the reduction of energetic consumption associated to the academic community mobility.
In addition, it contributes to the sustainability of the campuses, helps to relieve traffic in the city of Lisbon and avoids parking problems.
With the support
The user must be authenticated by using Técnico ID credentials. Access to the platform is granted only to holders of an “@tecnico.ulisboa.pt” address.
The user/driver specifies the preferred route, commuting days, possible itinerary points as well as departure and arrival times. The users/passengers check the availability and choose the ride through the platform.
It is possible to evaluate each ride, aiming to improve the service and to increase trust among passengers.
In each ride, drivers and passengers will meet at a chosen time and place. In case of unforeseen changes, the driver and the passengers can communicate through the carpooling platform.
The management of car parking at Alameda campus is done under the supervision of the Advisory Board and aims to regulate car parking on campus according to Técnico’ s car parking regulations.
