Shuttle bus

The mobility between Alameda and Taguspark campuses is made by free shuttle service from 7:00 am to 8:10 pm. The route includes intermediate stops at Sete Rios, Oeiras and Cacém stations (according to the timetables and the school calendar approved for the Taguspark campus).

The usage of the Reservation System is compulsory in all schedules and routes for the entire IST community. The shuttle management, monitoring and planning is the responsibility of the Taguspark Administrative and Financial Management Unit

Project “A pedalar”

The project “A pedalar” was launched in September 2015, during the Mobility Week at Técnico. This is an innovative project that aims to increase the number of people cycling to and from Alameda campus. This initiative was supported by Caixa Geral de Depósitos, which provided IST community several bicycles and locks, free of charge.

Due to the success of this project, Técnico acquired ten bicycles available to members of IST community. All interested in requesting a bicycle should contact the main building reception.

For technical reasons, this project is temporarily suspended.

Técnico Lisboa Carpooling

Técnico Lisboa carpooling platform allows all members of IST community to share rides between the campuses (Alameda, Taguspark and CTN).

Carpooling is a simple and effective way of reducing the travel costs to and from Técnico, thus having a very positive impact on the environment and on the reduction of energetic consumption associated to the academic community mobility.

In addition, it contributes to the sustainability of the campuses, helps to relieve traffic in the city of Lisbon and avoids parking problems.

The platform is available online or through the App “Técnico Lisboa Carpooling”, for Android and IOS. The user must log in using Fenix systems (CAS credentials).

Platform temporarily suspended due to Covid-19 pandemic.
