The Técnico Library invites the academic community to the 6th edition of the Workshop on Scientific Writing (WEC).
At a time when many seem intent on devaluing and discrediting scientific knowledge, it is even more important to reaffirm the value of science by promoting practices that combine rigour, objectivity, method, and ethics—characteristics indispensable to any scientific endeavour.
What strategies can we follow to search for credible sources of information successfully? What criteria should we keep in mind when choosing how to communicate the results of our research? How can we use artificial intelligence responsibly? How can a poster make the results of our research more appealing?
These and other topics will be discussed during the sessions of the 6th WEC, organised once again in collaboration with the Técnico PhD Hub.
The sessions will take place on 23, 25, and 30 June, and 2 July, from 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., via the Zoom platform.
Although this workshop is primarily aimed at PhD students and researchers at Técnico, participation is open to anyone interested in the topic.
Attendance is free. Registration is required by filling out the available form. The Zoom meeting ID will be sent via email to registered participants.
