The Centre for Marine Technology and Ocean Engineering (CENTEC) at Instituto Superior Técnico and the Portuguese Association of Engineers, are organising the 7th International Conference on Maritime Technology and Engineering (MARTECH 2024) in parallel with the 17th edition of the Conference on Maritime Engineering and Technology (17 JETM), under the theme “Naval Engineering in Transition”.

The Maritime Engineering and Technology National Conferences have been held since 1987, normally in a joint organisation between Instituto Superior Técnico and the Portuguese Association of Engineers, constituting a forum for the dissemination and discussion of national realities in the field of the naval industry and the economy and science of the Sea.

MARTECH, which had its first edition in 2011, is an event that brings together experts from around the world in the maritime sector, constituting an opportunity, par excellence, for technical debate on the different aspects of the sector, with a view to its progress.

The event coincides with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of CENTEC, created in 1994.»
