The 2nd meeting “Alliance for Equality in ICT” takes place on 15th December, at 3 p.m., in Edifício Barra, Lisbon, within the framework of the “Engenheiras Por Um Dia” programme.

The meeting aims to strengthen and consolidate the partnership network of the “Engenheiras Por Um Dia” programme, through the sharing of best practices and reflection on the participation of girls and women in ICT.

This will also be an opportunity to learn about other initiatives that promote the digital inclusion of women and their participation in the areas of engineering and technology implemented during the last year.

The “Engenheiras Por Um Dia” programme is coordinated by the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality and the INCoDe.2030 Programme, together with the Portuguese Association for Diversity and Inclusion (APPDI), Instituto Superior Técnico, Ordem dos Engenheiros. 93 partner entities, 60 primary and secondary schools, and 19 higher education institutions. Since its creation, in 2017, it has reached 12,455 young people from primary and secondary schools, through several activities, such as practical laboratory activities, role model and mentoring sessions.
