«Técnico has joined the initiative “Um Dia a Pedalar, Porque Não?”, which is part of European Mobility Week and takes place on September 22.

We invite the whole Técnico community to cycle to school on Friday, September 22, to take part in the awareness-raising campaign “Um Dia a Pedalar, Porque Não?”, organised by the Energy and Environment Agency of Lisbon.

The initiative will include two moments:

• on the morning of September 22, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at the intersection of Av. Duque D’Ávila with Av. da República, there will be a street action, which aims to congratulate and encourage all those who pass by cycling, by distributing gifts and drawing the attention of car drivers and the media to the issue of sustainable mobility;

• late in the morning, the participants will gather at 12.30 p.m. outside the Main Building (Alameda) for a group photo with their bikes, which will be put to the vote in a competition under the “estabelecimentos de ensino” (“educational institutions”) category.
