«The 11th SBE – Bioengineering Week 2026 is an event organised by students from the Biomedical Engineering Group and the Biological Engineering Group at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, which will take place from 4 to 7 May 2026, at Técnico Congress Centre.
The main purpose of this event is to promote unity among Bioengineering students and bring the academic and scientific community closer to the business world, showcasing the role and vast potential of Bioengineering in addressing current and future challenges in medicine and biology, through the application of physical principles and engineering methods.
To fulfill this mission, we aim to bring together, over the course of these days, an interdisciplinary group of students, professors, researchers, companies and startups, fostering interaction and knowledge sharing among all these entities.
This event is part of the Técnico Career Weeks and will feature a Career Fair, as well as a series of lectures, workshops, pitches, and various other activities.»
