«On 20th March, C2TN – Centro de Ciências e Tecnologias Nucleares at Instituto Superior Técnico will host its 2nd Seminar of the year, in an online format, with the participation of guest speaker Kevin Rossi, Assistant Professor of Materials Science Engineering at the Centre for Security and Climate Protection Research at Delft University of Technology in the Hague Campus, Netherlands.

This event will address the efforts of the ‘DAEMON-COST’ network, made up of more than 200 members from 40+ European Union countries, focused on capacity building and research coordination to democratise emerging approaches, such as generative AI and automated laboratories, with the aim of accelerating the discovery, design and commercialisation of materials.

The presentation will discuss the challenges of accelerating materials within a horizontal and inclusive network, as well as the opportunities available, the activities promoted and the policies to advocate both from a top-down and a bottom-up approach.
