C2TN Academy Seminar – “Revolutionizing Nanomedicine: Harnessing Amphiphilic Nanomolecules for Multimodal, Carrier-Free Synergies”

Auditorium of Campus Tecnológico e Nuclear

28 May, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., in the Auditorium of Campus Tecnológico e Nuclear

Date: 28 May
Hour: 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Venue: Auditorium of Campus Tecnológico e Nuclear

«As part of the Thematic Lines ‘Radiopharmaceutical Sciences and Health Physics’ and ‘Advanced Materials’, another seminar organised by the C2TN Academy will take place in the Auditorium of the Campus Tecnológico e Nuclear.

The event will feature the participation of Professor and Researcher Clara Viñas, from Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC), an international reference in the field of boron cluster chemistry, who has led more than 30 research projects, authored more than 400 scientific publications and holds 7 patents. Her research in organometallic and medicinal chemistry has a significant impact in the areas of catalysis, the environment and health.

With the theme ‘Revolutionizing Nanomedicine: Harnessing Amphiphilic Nanomolecules for Multimodal, Carrier-Free Synergies’, Clara Viñas will present the latest results of her research, which represents a significant advance in biochemistry and nanotechnology.

During the session, the speaker will demonstrate, experimentally and theoretically, that icosahedral boron clusters possess global aromaticity – a discovery with high potential for biomedical applications. These clusters also show promise in diagnostics and therapeutic labelling, with an impact on precision medicine.
