«On 24th October, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., the Campus Tecnológico e Nuclear in Loures will host the Advanced Workshop on ‘Computational Structural Biology’ in its auditorium, promoted by the 3D-Bioinfo-PT community.
Rita Paiva de Melo, a researcher at Centro de Ciências e Tecnologias Nucleares (C2TN), Instituto Superior Técnico, is part of the event’s organising committee.
This meeting aims to bring together the national scientific community in the field of Structural Bioinformatics and to disseminate new methodologies and innovative approaches, bringing together everyone from students to experienced researchers.
The programme will feature three sessions led by guest speakers — Sérgio Sousa (BioSIM | Universidade de Coimbra), Ana Rodrigues & Lucas Ferraz from LASIGE | Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa) and Francisco Fernandes (PURR.AI) — who will address topics ranging from the fundamentals of quantum mechanics to the latest applications of artificial intelligence in protein design and analysis. Three sessions to broaden horizons in Computational Structural Biology.
