On 25 November, at 12 p.m., CiTUA will host Susana Ventura, an assistant professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environment, Instituto Superior Técnico, for a session titled “Compor Sensações: a Obra de Peter Zumthor entre a Prática e a Teoria”.

The composition of sensations in architecture is usually understood as a phenomenological practice, often associated with the work of Peter Zumthor.

This session will present a different perspective, based on the Swiss architect’s creative process, which is essentially experimental rather than a theory of perception and/or enjoyment of architectural works, despite the fact that these works assert themselves as bodies of sensation.
