«In 2026, the Centre for Innovation in Territory, Urbanism and Architecture (CiTUA) at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, returns with more VitaC seminars. The first seminar of the year will take place on January 20th at 12 p.m., at the DECivil Museum.

VitaC | “Developing a method to understand how Nature-Based Solutions influence ecosystem services in urban regeneration” – Emanuele Asnaghi supervised by Emilio Padoa-Schioppa, Isabel Loupa Ramos and Riccardo Castellanza.

Urban regeneration projects increasingly integrate Nature-Based Solutions, but the mechanisms through which these interventions affect Ecosystem Services remain implicit.
This seminar presents a PhD research that adapts the Conservation Standards (CS) to the urban context, analysing how project actions interact with threats, conservation targets and ecosystem services, with examples from Milan and Lisbon.

VitaC is an engaging monthly seminar series designed to explore and highlight the latest research initiatives within the Center for Innovation in Territory, Urbanism and Architecture (CiTUA) at Instituto Superior Técnico, aiming to provide a dynamic platform for researchers to present their work, engage in diverse debates and promote innovation through collaboration.»
