«On 15 December 2025, two lectures will be held at 5.30 p.m., in the Civil Engineering Museum, Civil Engineering Building, at Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon, as part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Portuguese Society for the Study of Construction History (SPEHC).

The lectures will focus on the theme “The history of the construction of Instituto Superior Técnico” and will feature the following speakers:

Ana Silva Rigueiro (Universidade de Lisboa) – “Duarte Pacheco: Vida, Obra e Contexto” (“Duarte Pacheco: Life, Work and Context”)
Sandra Vaz Costa (Património Cultural, I.P.) – “O Instituto Superior Técnico. A primeira obra pública de Duarte Pacheco” (“Instituto Superior Técnico. Duarte Pacheco’s first public work”)

The event is organised by SPEHC and CERIS – Institute for Research and Innovation in Civil Engineering for Sustainability at Instituto Superior Técnico. It also has the support of Universidade de Lisboa, Património Cultural, I.P., FCT – Foundation for Science and Technology and CIAUD – Research Centre on Architecture, Urbanism, Design at the Lisbon School of Architecture, Universidade de Lisboa.
