«The IST Energy Initiative is organising a debate on Offshore Wind in Portugal with experts from Técnico and various other national entities.

The debate will seek to clarify the enthusiasm surrounding the ocean renewables sector, addressing a series of technical-scientific questions related to:

1) the availability of the wind resource in Portugal;
2) the competitiveness of its utilisation, compared to other countries and other renewable resources;
3) the opportunity for its development, given the expected evolution of the generation technologies.
