The Department of Physics at Técnico (DF-IST) will organise a set of colloquia. The first DF-IST colloquium will take place on 4th March 2020, at 4 pm.
Professor Marco Durante (Director of the Biophysics Department, GSI Hmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research, Darmstadt, Germany) will give the next DF-IST colloquium. This lecture is part of the “IST Distinguished Lecture Series”.
Title: “Heavy Ions in Therapy and Space”.
Venue: Mathematics building, amphitheatre PA1.
The DF-IST colloquia will be organised according to the following topics:
1. The end of Nature
2. Trends and frontiers in Physics
3. Physics at the core of Technology
4. Paths and ways for a graduate in Physics.
The DF-IST colloquia are organised by professors Teresa Peña, Amaro Rica da Silva and Pedro Assis .
