11.35 a.m. – Speech by the two awarded professors João Paulo Silva and Virgínia Infante – IST Outstanding Teaching Award

11.45 a.m. – Speech by a Member of School’s Assembly, Engineer Natacha Moniz

11.55 a.m. – Ceremony to honour IST employees (faculty, researchers and staff) for 25 years of service and IST retirees

12 p.m. – Arrival of His Excellency, Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, the President of the Portuguese Republic

12.05 p.m. – Speech by the President of Técnico, Professor Arlindo Oliveira

12.15 p.m. – Speech by the Rector of Universidade de Lisboa, Professor António Cruz Serra

12.25 p.m. – Award Ceremony: IST Distinguished Professor to Professor Amílcar Sernadas

12.30 p.m. – Speech by His Excellency Professor Manuel V. Heitor, Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education

12.45 p.m. – Speech by His Excellency, Professor Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, the President of the Portuguese Republic
