On 3rd March 2021, at 19:00, professor Tiago Domingos will give a talk on Ecological Economics – Facebook live.

Bio: Tiago Domingos, professor and researcher at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Técnico (DEM). President of the Marine, Environment and Technology Center (MARETEC, LARSyS), coordinator of the Environmental Sciences and Engineering Platform (IST-Environment), and co-coordinator of the Integrated Master Programme in Environmental Engineering (MEAmbi).
His main area of research is Ecological Economics, integrating the contributions of Thermodynamics, Ecology and Economics into a single theoretical framework for the assessment of sustainability and for the modeling of ecological and economic systems, reaching the practical application of these methods in sustainable agriculture, in management of ecosystem services and in sustainable energy systems.
