The 22nd edition of EDBT/ICDT 2019 Joint Conference will take place from 26th to 29th March, in Lisbon, at IST Congress Centre.

The EDBT series of conferences is an established and prestigious forum for the exchange of the latest research results in data management. Held in an attractive European location, the conference provides unique opportunities for database researchers, practitioners, developers, and users to explore new ideas, techniques, and tools, and to exchange experiences. ICDT is a scientific conference on research on the foundations of database systems.  Multiple workshops are co-located with the EDBT/ICDT 2019 conference.

As a co-located event, in this year’s edition, the database community will be celabrating the (approximately) 25th birthday of “Foundations of Databases”, the book which has been a reference for database theory. Alice is the book’s heroine so the event is called “Happy Birthday, Alice!”.
