The first ENVIREE International Workshop – “Rare Earths Supply, Separation and Processing”, will take place on November 9, in room 02.1 – Congress Centre (Técnico).
The ENVIREE project aims at developing a selective, efficient, economical and environmentally friendly separation process for the REEs (Rare Earth Elements) and other valuable metals ions from secondary sources.
This workshop will give an update of the efforts of EU in this important subject and will also try to bring some of the fundamental questions about the REE to the discussion table: the way that European countries’ efforts would benefit from a global common approach with other countries all over the world, producers or manufacturers of REE based materials, the understanding that innovative and cheaper R&D methods are crucial to a country’s economic and employment concerns.
This event is intended for professionals, research institutions, industry, policy makers, environmental organisations and students involved on Rare Earth Elements R&D.
