«The Técnico Library will host the IEEE Workshop for Authors on 7 April, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Abreu Faro Amphitheatre.
This workshop will make its stop in Lisbon, at Instituto Superior Técnico, and can be attended both virtually and in person.
Participants will have the opportunity to gain practical insights into the publication process and improve their chances of success in IEEE journals and other scientific publications. Although the session will briefly cover the open access options available, the main focus will be on structuring academic articles, choosing the right journal and best practices for publication.
Topics Include:

- Tips and best practices to improve your chances of getting published;
- What editors and reviewers look for in submissions;
- Common reasons why papers are rejected;
- Selecting the right publication for your research submission;

All sessions will be English-led and free of charge but require prior registration. The link to attend virtually will be sent by email to registered participants.
