What if science produced in universities doesn’t just serve to advance knowledge in the expected way? What if science, developed by researchers and engineers, men and women, from computer science to electronics, could be used for artistic creation?

In this exhibition, Leonel Moura introduces us to robots that create original paintings using a combination of random decisions, influenced by their surroundings.

Leonel Moura is a pioneer in applying robotics and artificial intelligence to art, promoting a new form of artistic expression based on machine creativity. Through his projects, Leonel Moura has made a significant contribution to the dialogue between art and technology in the 21st century.

The painting robots will operate on Thursdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., from 29 May to 3 July (excluding 12 June and the public holiday of 19 June).
