«Between 25 and 29 May, the Campus Loures of Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, will host the next International Conference on Radiation Applications (RAP 2026) in Science and Technology.
RAP 2026 will take place in a hybrid format, fostering interaction between on-site and remote participants. The event includes the publication of a Book of Abstracts, as well as the opportunity to submit full papers for the conference proceedings or for a special issue of a scientific journal. An agreement for the publication of a special issue in the European Physical Journal Special Topics (impact factor 2.3) is currently in its final stages.
Call for submissions:
Participants are invited to submit their most recent research work (a one-page abstract, without tables or figures) by 15 April, via the Abstract Portal.
Key dates:
• Deadline for abstract submission (1 page): 15 April 2026
• Deadline for full paper submission: 31 July 2026
Each registration includes the publication of up to two abstracts in the Book of Abstracts. Submission of full papers is optional, with one submission included per registration (except for the virtual offline participation option).
The social programme includes several activities designed to promote networking among participants:
• 25 May: Welcome cocktail on a cruise along the river Tejo;
• 27 May: Traditional portuguese dinner with a live Fado performance;
• 29 May: Excursion to Sintra and the Lisbon coast, including Cabo da Roca.»
