Nathan Leamer (Vice-president for Public Affairs at Targeted Victory, Washington D.C., USA) will give a lecture titled “Trends and Tradeoffs of the 5G Revolution”, on 28th October 2019, at 11:00 am, Técnico – Alameda campus (Civil Engineering building – IST Congress Centre, room 02.1), under the partnership between Técnico and the US embassy in Portugal – American Corner@IST.

Abstract
5G technology holds immense promise for consumers yet many are not aware of its potential or the ways it will improve their livelihood. Nathan Leamer will discuss how policymakers and other proponents of this emerging technology can leverage 5G via real world applications of next-generation (5G) technology networks, such as telemedicine, autonomous vehicles and precision agriculture.

Nathan Leamer was Chairman’s Policy Advisor of Federal Communications Commission (FCC), an independent U.S. government agency, thus playing a major role in the development and implementation of 5G FAST Plan (Facilitate America’s Superiority in 5G Technology).
