Date: 23 January
Time: 4.30 p.m.
Venue: Técnico Innovation Center, powered by Fidelidade
«On January 23rd at 4.30 p.m., the Técnico Innovation Center, powered by Fidelidade, will be the stage for a live performance of dance and music, where human bodies, instruments, and minds in motion come together in creative dialogue, accompanied by the transcendent music of Bach.
This free, truly interdisciplinary event is organised by the Institute for Systems and Robotics (ISR-Lisboa) at Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, and Escola Superior de Dança, and will precede the Series of Talks “Artificial Intelligence in Interaction with the Physical World”.
When contemporary dancers move, thought becomes visible. Every gesture is a decision, every phrase a living pattern shaped by embodied knowledge, motor intelligence, and imagination. Movement reveals the brain at work, activating memory, perception, and motor imagery in a continuous dialogue between body and mind.
This art & science project relates research in neuroscience with dance: scientists use AI to decode brain signals, disclosing its inner workings to the dancers.
Where neuroscience meets art.
Where brain imagery becomes physical movement.
Where AI meets the moving body.
