«The Centro de Informação Urbana (CIUL) of the Lisbon City Hall (CML) is hosting a new edition of the meeting “Encontro UniverCidades: Ideias para Lisboa”. Held annually, this event aims to present academic reference works on Lisbon city, developed by students and researchers, based on strategic areas defined by the CML, in collaboration with partner Universities and Institutes.
This year’s session will present studies and proposals for the development of Lisbon, considering the challenges and concerns of today’s city management models.
Academic research leads to new ideas and CIUL is responsible for promoting and communicating them, pointing out paths for the future.
On March 13, at 9.30 a.m., the meeting will take place in conference format and on the morning of March 14, at 9 a.m., there will be a guided and commented tour of some renovated spaces in the eastern area of the city».
* Técnico is a partner of the event. Several Técnico researchers will participate in panel discussions and one Técnico professor is a member of the Scientific Committee.
