Batalla de Tientos is a battle between the minstrels and the organ, around organ repertoire, which the minstrels intend to contest. The minstrels and the powerful organ stood side by side, for centuries, in the churches and cathedrals of the Iberian Peninsula. Play along with the organ was considered a privilege only available to the most distinguished instrumentalists. The Ministriles de Marsias will fill the church of São Vicente de Fora with Spanish music from the 16th and 17th centuries, together with the magnificent historic organ played by Javier Artigas.

Attendance is free. Booking is required due to limited seating capacity.
