«In the 75th anniversary of José Mariano Gago, the Gradiva publisher, with the support of the Laboratory of Instrumentation and Experimental Particle Physics (LIP), launches a reprint of the essay ‘Manifesto para a Ciência em Portugal’, by José Mariano Gago, published for the first time in 1990. On this occasion, we re-launch the debate, with three simultaneous debates in Lisbon, Coimbra and Braga, with the theme “Manifesto for Science in Portugal: actuality and ideas for the future”, followed by a ZOOM conversation between the spokespersons of the three local panels, moderated by Joana Gonçalves de Sá (LIP). In Lisbon, the session will take place at the National Library (auditorium).»
